Saint Aubin is an agro-industrial group with strong roots in the history of Mauritius since 1819 and a commitment to preserve and pass on the historical heritage and agricultural expertise of Mauritius.
Established in the wild south of the island, the Group operates in the tourism sector through its three estates in Mauritius: Domaine des Aubineaux, Domaine de Bois Chéri and Domaine de Saint Aubin, with their distinctive identities based on tea, rum and vanilla.
Groupe Saint Aubin also produces and distributes exceptional rum and tea that are enjoyed all over the world.

Gustave Guimbeau, who created the estate by purchasing the surrounding land (history of Domaine de Saint Aubin).
1819
Construction of the Saint Aubin house + the estate’s first sugar factory
1848
Mr. Jean Baptiste Guimbeau becomes a shareholder in Usine Sucrière de Saint Aubin.
1898
The Guimbeau family buys Domaine de Saint Aubin and its colonial house in the wild south of Mauritius.
1958
The Guimbeau family diversifies its activities with the acquisition of Domaine de Bois Chéri
1990
The group develops its tourism activities by transforming the Domaine de Saint Aubin colonial house into a table d’hôtes, and offers informal tours of the estates, notably La Route du Thé in its early days.
2003
The Saint Aubin Group launches the first artisanal distillery and becomes the pioneer of pure cane juice rum in Mauritius.
2017
Saint Aubin Loisirs is born and operates the group’s various tourism and catering activities, including management of the 3 estates: Domaine des Aubineaux, Domaine de Bois Chéri and Domaine de Saint Aubin.
2020
In response to growing public demand, Saint Aubin Distribution Ltée was set up to distribute the Group’s products (such as Bois Chéri tea, Bois Cheri ice tea, Ocheri spring water, Saint Aubin 1819 rum, liqueurs, specialty sugars, vanilla and related products).

It is with deep emotion that we remember our CEO, Eric Guimbeau, who led the group with unmatched dedication and vision from 2014 to 2024. Eric was a charismatic leader who skillfully guided the group through difficult times with strong leadership and a clear vision for the future. Under his leadership, Eric restructured the group, strengthened operations, and established the fundamental pillars of success for the various subsidiaries. He was the driving force behind the creation of Saint Aubin Loisirs and Saint Aubin Distribution, two important components of our entity that continue to drive today our growth and innovation. Eric was known for his generosity and passion. His legacy of integrity, ethics, dedication, innovation, and resilience is at the core of the company. He was a mentor, a friend, and a leader who cared deeply for his teams. His open-door policy and commitment to fostering a collaborative and ‘we are a family’ work environment left an indelible mark on the group’s culture. His influence will always inspire the group, and we are committed to honoring his memory by upholding the principles he embodied.
