Follow in the footsteps of the tea pluckers through the fields, take part in the plucking activities and witness the tea-making process. A tea tasting session will be held at the Chalet du Domaine de Bois Chéri, overlooking Lac des Cygnes at the Domaine de Bois Chéri. A tea-based lunch is served at the Le Bois Chéri restaurant, which offers a panoramic view of the south-east coast of our island. Come and experience a unique and immersive moment.
PROGRAM
- Reception upon arrival at Domaine Bois Chéri museum
- Briefing on the day’s programme
- Mauritian breakfast in the Kiosk
- After the tea picking experience, you will head to the factory where all the baskets are weighed and the tea leaves checked
- Visit of the tea factory and museum
- Tea tasting with our handmade cookies at Le Chalet de Bois Chéri
- Lunch at the Bois Chéri Restaurant
- Meet your guide for the day
- Departure for the tea fields and learning about the history of Bois Chéri tea
- Introduction to tea picking
- Using your own basket, you will pick tea leaves alongside the pickers (duration: 20 min)

Meet Jasson Hugues-Grégoire, whose journey with Groupe Saint Aubin began in 2008, in the heart of the Bois Chéri tea plantation.
From his first role as a Weigher, to becoming Grading & Blending Officer, Jasson has spent years developing his knowledge and expertise in tea.
Today, as Head of Processing & Quality Control, he oversees the journey of our tea from leaf to cup; from the quality of freshly harvested leaves to production and, of course, tasting the final brew. ☕
More than 18 years of experience, passion and know-how contribute to the quality and character of Bois Chéri tea.
Behind every cup, there is a story.
