“Ki pou Kwi” is an authentic experience where you can discover traditional Mauritian cuisine, considered grandma’s recipes.
The estate chef will give a presentation to explain the preparation steps. Freshly picked herbs from our nursery, traditional spices, and colorful, flavorful ingredients will be on hand to prepare your lunch.
Prepare your dish and set your table for a moment of pure pleasure at the Écuries du Domaine des Aubineaux, surrounded by the Parc Floral du Domaine des Aubineaux.
After lunch, a tour of the colonial house and a rum tasting are included. To round off this lively day, treat yourself or your family to a souvenir from La Boutique du Domaine des Aubineaux.

- What is a kitchen brigade?
- How to work in a brigade?
- The presentation of the dishes to be prepared during the session
- The Chef’s explanations and recommendations
The steps:
- Setting up in the kitchen
- Discovery of local products
- Preparing the dishes
- Plating the dishes
- Tasting the dishes prepared by each team
Itinerary
- Each team will receive a list of items to purchase, money and a ‘panier bazar’
- Then, head to the local bazaar for shopping (accompanied by the Chef)
- Return to Domaine des Aubineaux for preparation of dishes
- Lunch is served at the Stables of Domaine des Aubineaux
- Visit to the 1872 Colonial House and tasting of Saint Aubin rum
